Where has the year gone?

I cannot believe I haven't updated our blog in at least two months. Shame on me! This year has totally slipped away from me. I cannot believe how time is just flying by! I am on my last day of spring break and am spending it with a sinus infection. Not exactly how I wanted to say goodbye to spring break. I have 7 more weeks until my school year is over and Roy will be finished with his first year of seminary on May 12th. Can you believe it? Wow!

So how can I recap the past two months? For starters, I ran my first half-marathon on March 7th at the Walt Disney Resort. You can read more details at my running blog http://www.runbeckyrun5.blogspot.com It was a FANTASTIC experience! I have yet to run since the race, but am eager to being training for another half marathon soon.

My parents came to visit us at the end of March. It was SO GREAT to spend time with them. They took us out to eat... alot (which was a GREAT treat!) and we went to a Braves spring training game and to the Arnold Palmer Golf Tournament. It was definitely a sweet weekend. It has been incredibly difficult being away from our family, but the friends we have made are indeed a huge blessing.

Roy and I both had a Spring Break, but sadly they were two weeks apart :( Roy spend his SB working in the admissions office at RTS where he is the official visit coordinator. He has stayed super busy this semester with lots of potential students coming to RTS for tours. Roy is in charge of organizing these visits for students and he is GREAT at what he does. He is taking a full load of classes and works 20 hours a week. I am so proud of him! He is incredibly diligent and wants to do his job well and be a successful student.

For my spring break I spent a few days in PSJ visiting with my family. Mom and I had a great day together at Pier Park and Granny and I went to Panama City one day to see Papa in the nursing home. He is still as precious as ever, even at 93 years old. I sure do love him! I miss getting to see them practically everyday like I used to. I literally saw them every day when I lived in PSJ. My how times change. The end of my spring break has been filled with me being sick :( Yuck!

I want to do better to keep you all informed on how we are doing and how you all can be praying for us! We are incredibly grateful for the support and prayers from many of you! This has been a challenging season of life indeed, but we have seen the Lord transforms our hearts and strengthen our relationship with him and with each other. Trials are definitely for our good. At the time that is hard to understand, but looking back it is evident that the Lord was doing great things through tough times. Thanks be to God!!!
